Hill Anderson announces release of ‘Stoneport’

Human mind is examined in new psychological thriller

SOUTH STRAFFORD, Vt. – In “Stoneport” (published by iUniverse), author Hill Anderson’s new novel, readers find themselves caught in a story about love, betrayal, ethical misconduct and a far-reaching inquiry into the nature of the human mind. Kirkus Reviews calls “Stoneport” “An eye-opening look at the world of psychology told through a complicated romance.”

Eli Fox, a marriage counselor, has always been guided by the commander – an entity conjured within his mind. One day, while working at Stoneport Institute of Psychiatry, he becomes the supervisor over Meagan Rush. Soon, the two are conducting sessions with troubled couples, studying intimacy between the sexes and debating the interplay of Eastern and Western psychology. When the two decide to take their study one step further – their own interpersonal experiment – they quickly find themselves locked in a disastrous chain of events.

As Eli watches his world morph into a hideous reminder of his past, the institute he works for is taken over by a power hungry corporation. This corporation turns to unethical practices to obtain higher profits. As chaos swirls around him, Eli is forced to rely on an innate intelligence that is well beyond the range of his commander.

When asked what he hopes readers take away from his book, Anderson replied, “I want readers to take the wisdom of nowness, outrage at the corruption in the mental health industry, and the importance of being open to heart after finishing my book.” He also stated that “every love ends, and we have to be able to let go. Grief is universal, and after a loss it is the only way back to the vivid nowness of life, which is also the home of mental health.”
